Results from Salt Lake City!

Even though Ryan Dungey took the top spot on the podium at the Salt Lake City stop of the AMA SX series, the Red Bull KTM rider still had his work cut out for him in the form of JGR Toyota Yamaha’s Davi Millsaps, who kept the heat on for the entire race. Millsaps grabbed the holeshot, while Dungey started second and was passed by Jake Weimer, but after a few laps Dungey started to wear Weimer down; and that’s where the battle really started. For the next few laps, they banged ‘bars, which resulted in Dungey going down. While this was going on, Millsaps had gained an almost 4-second lead, but that resulted in Dungey getting on his race face and charging to the front. After putting in some fast laps, Dungey passed Weimer and started closing in on Millsaps, which is when the latter got caught in lapped traffic and caused him to make a mistake that allowed Dungey to make the pass for the lead – not to mention, the win.
